Please let me know how those updates worked... are you having less problems?
ReplyDeleteI am having less problems all in all. The home screen has still fallen over once when adding a new widget. I still sometimes get the homescreen filling over into the soft keys area when going through apps and menu's. The navigation is however smoother and faster so far. The calendar entries are now looking stable. I still have Accuweather problems but in general all is a bit better yes.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly are the home screen errors?
ReplyDeleteThere have issues with the home screen connecting properly and not knowing what connection it should have. Also Mine crashed sometimes when I added widgets. Also after adding widgets and navigating to other apps or menu's you could still see parts of the Home Screen visible on the right hand side of the screen(when in landscape). The reponsiveness of some of the widgets on the screen was not always good.(It is now from what I can tell). It seems most of the problems had to do with the widgets causing problems.
ReplyDeleteAlso have you read this post: http://n97review.blogspot.com/2009/07/review-2-home-screen-apps-and.html
ReplyDeleteI touch on some of the home screen in that review
You are still having those problems after the update? How bad would you say they are on scale 1 being minimal to 10 being you can not enjoy the phone? I'll take a look at that link now.
ReplyDeleteI must say most of the problems are gone. I would say that on a scale of 1 - 10 I would say the issues are low about 4 maybe some days I have no problems, other days it could be pretty bad pushing 6 maybe 7 when I first got the phone.
ReplyDeleteBut over all the phone is very enjoyable, and the firmware has most definitely help a lot they have done well. Still more to do but they have done well and very quick turn around on the firmware less than 2 weeks .
Thank you... I took a look at your review very good.. job. You are using the North American version? I just wanted to be sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm using the UK version.
ReplyDeleteWhen view you tube now, nothing seems to happen (i.e. screen rotate to play videos). Also aftwer my update, I lost nothing, everything stayed the same - files, music apps, wallpapper. Checked which version of softare was running and said 11.0.021. Should i reset factory settings?
